From the Board

Just as the seeds are moving beneath the ground, your board is working on projects that have not yet sprouted enough to share with you. We affirm that all of your dreams and projects are gestating powerfully and in perfect order.

Our tithe for January went to Lisè Gottwald, from Unity Spiritual Community of Central Oregon who is a newly licensed LUT and is working on creating an evolving ministry in Ridgeway, CO.

ATTENTION ALL FRIENDS OF THE NW REGION:

The Northwest Region of Unity Worldwide has decided to consolidate our bookkeeping services and office requirements into one space, with Consolidated Business Services. Therefore, we will no longer be using the post office box for mail.

Our new mailing address for checks and other communications is: NW Region of Unity Churches, 7142 44th Ave. NE, Olympia, WA 98516. We encourage all our donors, member churches and individuals to consider donating through our website or other electronic means, if possible. Thanks so much for helping us realize full abundance as we continue to serve Unity in our region and out into the wider world.

Why Summer Unitreat? To make Unity connections with practical spirituality with experiential curriculum. Open to all 6th, 7th, 8th graders, 11-14 year olds. Uniteen sponsors & supporters requested! Cost - $450.00.

When finishing 5th grade your last year at Kids camp is important for you. Kids Camp, also at Cedar Ridge is June 30-July 3.

Youth Team Conference

The 44th annual Youth Team Conference “The Breath of Life, The World Is Our Teacher” gathered 33 Youth Ministry teachers/sponsors from 7 Northwest Unity Centers. This conference was held at Huston Conference Center in Gold Bar Washington , January 26-28th. We had presentations on breath technique, rituals, Experiential Education and Neurodivergent & ADHD strategies in Youth Ministry. We celebrated with Dance for Universal Peace facilitated by Mark.

Our small groups  explored & developed curriculum inclusive of Glimmer awareness and Breath work. Also exchanging of techniques & experiences that work in YM. Our early morning meditations and evening vespers were perfect bookends to our days events.

Mark Stanton Welsh was our musician and Rev Philip Zemke & 3 prayer chaplains supported the gathering. Nick Muncie-Jarvis (YOU) and Chris Castaldi (Uniteens) planned & coordinated this conference with the work & support of your Youth Services Team. This team consist of five Youth Ministry professionals, Heide Nathe, Ginger Landree,  Marilee Payne, Barbara Selvaggi and Philip Zemke. The Youth Services Team meets through out the year to set Intention and plans for the conference. We could not be as successful without the experience and talent of this circle. They are a collaborative creative Youth Services Team!

This yearly conference is both inspirational & informative. It is guaranteed to support the creation, sustainability and growth of Youth Ministry.
