Michael Muir, Vice-Chair

Blessings to all, my name is Michael Muir.  Most people call me Mike, some call me dad, and some call me papa. I have 4 children: 1 boy and 3 girls that have given me 9 grandchildren. Family is the most important blessing in my life. I have 3 horses currently and I am an avid horseman. I am an electrician with a career spanning 43+years.

My Unity experience began in 1995 at Unity Spiritual Community of Salt Lake City. I began as a late-arriver and back-row-sitter, but soon became involved as a volunteer.  I began first as a committee person with several community service projects. I was a greeter for a short while. I was a member of the financial team in charge of fundraising.  I have been a prayer chaplain for about 15 years.  My eight years as a YOU sponsor were some of the most rewarding years of my life. I was involved with taking numerous groups to regional events.
After my 8 years with the YOU I became a member of the Board. Shortly after joining the Board I was asked to be the Sunday service leader, which I have been doing for 9 years.  On the Unity Salt Lake City Board I served as vice president and president. After my time on the Board I was asked to take the position as Spiritual coordinator/ leader. My firm belief in Unity principles has reaffirmed my commitment to Unity.  I have served on the NW Regional Board for the past three years.
