June 30th-July 3rd in Vernonia, OR

Kids camp is for youth ages 7-11. Camp activities include: large group funshops, small family groups, singing, meditation, swimming, hiking, games and prayers.

Cost $400. The registration deadline is June 7th. Financial assistance is available.

Youth of Unity Rendezvous

“The Phases of You”

August 1-4 in Vernonia, OR

Featuring Mark Stanton Welch

The YOU Rendezvous is a 4-day communion with Spirit. Daily activities include large group workshops, small group discussions, singing, meditation, dancing, prayer, and vespers. YOUers must be at least 14 years old (or in ninth grade) & no more than 18 years old (or high school senior).

The early registration deadline is June 24th!

Did you know that you can make payments for regional youth events and regional retreats via text?  The Unity NW Region has a dedicated number (425.385.9020) that can be used to receive donations via text.  It is a very handy way to give.

June Tithe

For the month of June, we are tithing to Unity of Bellevue as they celebrate their 65th anniversary.

Prayers

Please hold Unity in Lynwood in your prayers as they navigate the departure of their beloved Rev. Dr. Richard Held and Matthew Wilson this month. And we bless Rev. Dr. Richard and Matthew on their way, knowing that their next path will appear as they step out into the grace of the unknown. They have been such a gift to our region during their time with us.

CEU Opportunities

And in the abundance of sharing non-monetary resources, Dennis Ashley, LUT, our representative to the Regional Advisory Council, shared that Unity South Central Region has invited people to log onto unitysouthcentral.org and see all the classes they offer that are CEU-accredited by Unity.

In particular, there is an Ethics class online that is accredited and a class on Recruiting new people to the YFM programs.

Welcome Dennis!

Speaking of Dennis Ashley, did we properly celebrate his joining our board in February? Dennis is the spiritual leader for Unity Center for Spiritual Growth in Couer D'Alene, Idaho, which merged with Unity Church of Truth in the area. Dennis loves leading his community and enjoys some of the less common jobs of ministry like driving the mowing lawnmower. He has been an asset to our board since he joined us, working with Rev. Susan to plan the retreat, hosting the retreat, and serving as our rep to the Regional Advisory Council.

EarthCare Green Star Award

Good news! For spiritual centers that have not yet applied, the application date for this year's Green Star Award has been extended to July 31, 2024. The award recognizes Unity congregations that completed at least three significant environmental activities during calendar year 2023 that foster awareness of our spiritual oneness with the Earth and promote active care of the environment. Please relate the activity to the appropriate Step or Action of the Path to EarthCare and include support as applicable. Please contact Mike McCord with any questions.
