From the Regional Board
Hope you are all fitting in some summertime play in between all your ministry responsibilities. As a board, we made the decision this month to support our regional representative, Rev. Carrie Kenyon, in taking UWM's Spirit Group training. After this four month program (that starts in August), Rev. Carrie will be able to work with our local ministries in setting up or troubleshooting or infusing us with new ideas so that we can all have the chance to implement this model for growing our ministries and deepening our connections.
Our tithes for July and August go to Michelle Van Eyck and Stacie Baley, both from Unity in Lynwood. Michelle and Stacie are newly certified Spiritual Directors.
Finally, we are moving closer to our October retreat. I know it's still not the last minute, however, our block rates are still open and we need to fill them or reduce the block so we aren't left paying for empty rooms. There are 2 steps for you to take if you are a Unity minister, spiritual leader, or licensed Unity teacher.
1. Please register here for the retreat. The cost is $185. The location is in Bend, OR. The theme is Self-Care, featuring a program developed and presented by our own Rev. David McArthur called Self-Care for the Spiritual Caregiver. Read more details https://unitynwregion.org/event-5233881. Additionally, there will be a powerful forgiveness ceremony led by Rev. Susan Gumm, a sound bath, delicious catered meals, and wonderful connections with our NW companions in Unity leadership.
2. Register for your room at the beautiful Element Hotel in Bend. It's right across the street from a beautiful park and river and an easy walk to downtown. You can click on the link or call the hotel and let them know you're with the Unity NW Region group. Please do this today!
To make this experience wonderful for all, we want to provide airport pickups and transport to Unity Spiritual Community. That will take time to organize our volunteers. Please make this service easier for all of us by registering now!

YOUTH PROGRAMS
Kids Camp
July 1st-4th 29 people from 8 NW Region ministries participated in the 42nd Annual Kids Camp!
Our amazing counselors created a wonderful camp where we explored the theme "The Me in We" and looked at how we express our individuality and how we are part of a larger community. We enjoyed funshops, crafts, hikes, joy songs, swimming, talent shows, and a 250 foot-long Slip N Slide! Thank you for sending the 7-11 year olds from your ministry, we had a great time and everyone left looking forward to the next camp!
Unitreat
Unitreat is coming together with a dozen registered from 5 ministries. The camp is in Vernonia, OR and should be a memorable experience. Chris Castaldi is contacting everyone to help nudge and organize them. A church van from Lynnwood is a possibility if enough uniteens are interested. Contact Stacie Bailey.
July 9th-13th 7 YOUers and 2 sponsors attended this year's International Youth of Unity event at Unity Village. This event was planned by NW YOUer Aidan Falin (Lynnwood) and Lu Bickerton from the Southeast region. The theme was "Appreciation" and everyone had a great time exploring the theme and connecting with YOUers from other regions.
July 22nd-25th 32 people from 6 NW region ministries gathered in the shadow of Mt. Rainier to delve into the theme "I Rise" and explore the Powers of Love, Wisdom, Imagination, Understanding, Release, and Life. We built community and elevated our consciousness through workshops, family groups, joy songs, our talent show, and plenty of fun and laughter!
Thank you for supporting our youth by supporting these life-changing events--the ripples go far and wide and touch lives in ways that we may never know!
Chapter X is an International virtual chapter of Youth of Unity, led by YOUers from around the country. If there are one or two high school-aged teens in your ministry that are having a hard time sustaining a YOU group, your teens can participate in Chapter X to meet other YOUers and be eligible to participate in Regional events. These bi-weekly meetings begin September 10th. More information will be available in the coming weeks.
October 6th-8th in Randle, WA
Throughout the weekend participants will get in touch with their sense of wonder and joy. We will celebrate the good within and around us while engaging in some quality spiritual play!
YOUers must be at least 14 years old [or in ninth grade] & no more than 18 years old [or high school senior]. Participants are active members in their YOU group who have demonstrated maturity, self-discipline & self-responsibility. Retreat is for people who sincerely desire to learn more about Truth and are willing and able to contribute by actively participating in Retreat activities. Participants must attend the entire weekend experience from beginning to end.

The NW Region Youth Team Conference is an educational gathering and a time to rejuvenate, connect, inspire, and exchange mentoring wisdom.
